Youth Seeking Mentors
Mentoring makes a life changing impact on youth, their families, and mentors. A parent recently shared, “My son needs a positive male influence in his life. He is the type of person that will follow what his friends do, just to be included. Every Tuesday morning when my son wakes up to go to school, he’s so excited because he gets to see his mentor that day.”
Youth Mentoring in Allamakee, Howard, and Winneshiek counties has an urgent need to find mentors for 29 youth who are waiting for a mentor. Some of the youth have been waiting over two years.
All youth want is someone to be their friend. Please visit helpingservices.org/mentoring to consider being a friend to the youth on the waiting list.
Please help us find hope for youth, so they can wake up and look forward to the day that they will spend time with YOU. You can be their friend. Both men and women are needed to get these 29 waiting youth matched. You can be a mentor as an individual, as a couple, with a friend, and even as a family. Mentoring is as simple as spending at a minimum of four hours a month with the youth and giving a one year commitment.
