I serve families with children prenatal to age 3 in Allamakee County. I provide parenting information and support and community resource information. I facilitate a monthly parenting group at Robey Memorial Library in Waukon.

I serve families with children prenatal to age 3 in Clayton County. I provide in-home visits with parenting information and activieis to enhance child development. I am a registered nurse and a Certified Child Passenger Safety Instructor/Technician.
Certified Family Educator
I serve families with children ages prenatal to age 3 in Howard County. I provide parenting information and support as well as a guide to community resources. I am a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician and offer instructions and assistance to all community members with questions and concerns. I coordinate playgroups in the community for families with children ages 0-5.
Director of Family Education and Support
I work with a team of people devoted to promoting positive parent-child interaction, to providing families with educational tools and support for the challenges of parenting, to increasing family awareness of community resources, and to promoting community collaboration—all which help prevent child abuse and ensure safe, stable and healthy families.
I am the Bilingual Family Educator. I provide support to families with prenatal/young children, from birth to age three. I make sure children are meeting important developmental milestones and answer questions new parents have.
I do home visits twice a month, providing activities and positive information in how to spend quality time with your child. I also coordinate play groups that connect parents and children with other parents to learn from each other. Most of the time I serve the Hispanic/Latino community and cover four counties in Northeast Iowa, Winneshiek, Allamakee, Howard and Clayton.
Child Abuse Prevention & CPPC Coordinator
I serve Howard, Allamakee, Winneshiek, and Clayton counties. I facilitate the Nurtured Heart Approach (R) and Positive Solutions Solutions for Families parenting workshops. I also offer sexual abuse prevention programs in the schools. I coordinate the Community Partnership for Protecting Children (CPPC) committees through AmeriCorps, where we work to prevent child abuse through offering trainings, resources, and family events to the community.
I connect youth, ages 5 - 16, with positive role models in Delaware County. I recruit, screen, monitor and support all mentors prior to and during their match relationship. Programs available include: community based, school based and after school mentoring. I also organize training's and events for mentoring matches.
I recruit, screen, train, monitor, and support mentoring matches of youth to adults in a three-county area.
I also teach basic substance abuse prevention strategies using puppetry to lower elementary students.
I prepare the monthly financials and ensure compliance with our various grant requirements. I also help with various administrative duties, including facilitation of employee benefits and preparation of annual audit needs.
I oversee budget and personnel needs at Helping Services and work with the Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers to implement tangible, impactful services for families and children in Northeast Iowa.
I greet the public on the phone and in person, connecting visitors with the services they need. I assist program staff with community projects and administrative staff with daily accounting tasks. I help with the coordinating of our annual Holiday Lights display event, in addition to keeping our office running smoothly.
I oversee the technology needs for the agency, from equipment to software, online tools and platforms. Staff rely on me to trouble-shoot issues, provide training, and make wise investments into technology purchases that help them communicate with the public.
