Meet Kristy Wirkler, Our Newest Family Educator!
Hello! My name is Kristy Wirkler and I was recently hired as a Family Educator for Clayton County. I have worked in the early childhood field since 2006 – my roles over the years have included assistant Head Start teacher, lead Head Start teacher, and Head Start center manager.
I grew up on small farm outside of Garnavillo and lived there until 2009, when I moved to Waukon to be closer to work. I moved back to Clayton County in 2019 and lived in the tiny river town of Clayton until 2022, when I moved to rural Garnavillo. My significant other, Tim, and I live on a small acreage with our two cats. Last fall, we purchased a camper and will be spending our summer weekends with Tim’s daughter, Brooklyn, camping at a campground close to Clayton.
I am looking forward to working with everyone at Helping Services and am excited to be a part of the team!
Helping Services welcomes Kristy to the Family Educator Team!
