Mentoring 2024 Loggers Game

A Home Run for Youth Mentoring: An Unforgettable Day at the Baseball Game

Our mentors and mentees enjoyed a sunny afternoon at the Loggers ballpark in LaCrosse, WI on Friday, June 19th. Our youth mentoring program hit it out of the park with an incredible event that combined the excitement of baseball with the power of mentorship. Everyone enjoyed the bus ride conversations and the delicious food at the ballpark before the baseball game. Between innings, there were fun activities involved including a singing battle, races and a frisbee competition. One of the mentees even caught a foul ball, which was the highlight for many.

The best part is that amidst all the cheering and laughter the mentors and mentees were able to bond over a shared experience. For some it was their first time seeing a baseball game. By the end of the game, everyone left with big smiles, having enjoyed a great game. Luckily the LaCrosse Loggers won 8-3 and after the win we got to see a firework show. Everyone enjoyed the game and are looking forward to our next mentoring event on September 21st at the Mississippi River Museum in Dubuque. Here’s to many more home runs in baseball and our mentoring program!
