Youth Leadership Day
On October 1, 2018, a total of seventy-seven students from eight different schools came together at Camp EWALU by Strawberry Point for a Youth Leadership Day. This annual event invites youth from Allamakee, Clayton, Delaware, Dubuque, Fayette, Howard and Winneshiek County schools who have an active Youth Group or are working to form one. Students spent time learning about tobacco, vaping, juuling, marijuana and alcohol. Another part of their day included team building activities which had the students thinking on their feet and being creative. Youth groups leave the day with many activities and plans to implement when they return to their school and communities.
