Rootin’ Tootin’ Mentoring Bowl-A-Thon in Waukon

We are overwhelmed by the generous community response to the Rootin’ Tootin’ Mentoring Bowl-a-thon held March 16 at Arrowhead Lanes in Waukon. Bowlers and sponsors helped raise $8,000 to provide role models for youth in Allamakee, Howard, and Winneshiek Counties. Donations are still coming in!

Thank you to all the sponsors, bowlers and their supporters. There were many cheers as bowlers experienced  strikes, spares, and even gutter balls. Mentoring Coordinator Kathy Schwartzhoff shares, “Bowlers got into the theme wearing cowboy hats, vests, big belt buckles, and someone even brought a spur! It was so much fun!”

Volunteer to Mentor in NE Iowa

Youth Mentoring in Allamakee, Howard, and Winneshiek Counties provides an adult mentor who spends a minimum of four hours a month with a youth, ages 5–16. Currently, 40 youth are enjoying time with a mentor, and 28 youth are waiting for a mentor.
