New Prevention Coordinator in Delaware County

My name is Brian and I am the new Prevention Coordinator  Helping Services in Delaware County. I am originally from Waverly, IA and for the past four years I have been calling Manchester, IA home. Some hobbies of mine with my wife and dog (Theo) love doing anything outdoors involving hiking, biking, walking trails, fishing, kayaking and so much more.

My educational background is a bachelor’s degree at the University of Northern Iowa. My degree is Leisure Youth and Human Services with a concentration in Outdoor Recreation. Before my college career had started I had a background in being summer camp counselor and a core member for Americore NCCC*. Furthermore,  I recently became a mentor through Helping Services and I have enjoyed myself so much I decided to make a leap back into the nonprofit world with Helping Services.

I am looking forward to meeting more people in Delaware County and helping the coalition and school districts to reduce substance abuse and also, help create knowledge and understanding in drug prevention to keep our communities safer.
