New Prevention Coordinator for Delaware County
My name is Kayla Kraemer and I am the new Prevention Coordinator for Delaware County. I grew up in the Elkader area, and for the past 2 years, I have had the privilege of calling Strawberry Point my home. Most of my friends and family still live in the area, so I am blessed to have a close-knit group of loved ones around me. I enjoy reading, camping and kayaking, horseback riding, and baking in my free time.
I attended the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) and obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Health Promotion with a Minor in Leisure, Youth, and Human Services. Throughout my time at UNI, I got to have a myriad of experiences in volunteering and working with different populations. These experiences helped me find my niche in prevention work, which has fortunately brought me here to Helping Services! Having grown up in Northeast Iowa I feel special ties to the communities we serve, and am looking forward to being a part of a team that strives to make them healthier, happier, and more robust. I am excited to dive into my prevention work in serving Delaware County youth.
