Prevention Services

Helping Services offers a wide variety of services, programs, and training with the goal of preventing misuse of substances. These services target three groups: Community, Workplace, and Youth.

Helping Services works closely with community members to educate and seek positive change regarding illicit drug use, over-use of alcohol, prescription medications, and tobacco.

Whether it be business owners who comply with the laws, or citizens who take an active role in local, state, or national policy, we are ALL on the same team.  Safe communities = happy communities!

IF YOUR GROUP WOULD LIKE A PRESENTATION ON ANY OF THESE TOPICS, PLEASE CALL OUR PHONE NUMBER AT 563-387-1720, OR EMAIL INFO@HELPINGSERVICES.ORG

COMMUNITY

We work closely with communities to educate and seek positive change regarding illicit drug use, alcohol misuse, prescription medications, tobacco, and problem gambling.

It’s often a challenge for us to explain the far-reaching impact that Prevention work has on a community.  This video is able to quickly connect the importance of the prevention of FIRST USE of drug or alcohol use –  ninety percent of adults with a substance use disorder(SUD) started using alcohol or drugs before they turned 18.
