Lock Up Your Liquor

Locking up your alcohol is important for keeping youth safe from the physical harms and legal consequences of drinking underage. Talking about it makes a difference too. Talk with your kids, tweens and teens about your expectations for them. Share your views on drinking alcohol, and ask them what they think.

According to the Century Council, parents have the most influence on whether or not their child will choose to drink alcohol.

Parents, ask yourself:

  1. Where is the alcohol located in my house?
  2. Would I know if any of it had gone missing?
  3. Are my kids around alcohol when they’re at a friend’s house?

Then go have a conversation with your kids.
