I wanted to share a client story that happened today because I know you will appreciate it.
Before I start though, I have to admit that I woke up this morning feeling overwhelmed and worrying about what the day would bring. It probably didn’t help that I didn’t sleep the greatest latest night because I dreamt about the CVAD grant [competitive grant application to get funding for domestic violence services for the next few years] and the things I need to work on now that I am back from vacation. I will also admit that when I couldn’t access the internet in the Fayette office, my patience was wearing.
That’s where my client comes in. On my way to Postville, I got a call on the Crisis Line from a client that I haven’t talked to in a while. She wanted me to know that last Sunday everyone was asked in church to say a prayer for someone who had touched their life in a positive way. I was so humbled when she said she prayed for me that I nearly cried.
I wanted to share this with you so that you know how fortunate I know I am to be able to do this kind of work and to help others. I know that God speaks through others and was giving me a message that I need to hold on to.
Thanks for letting me share,
