DESCRIPTION:Young adults (ages 15-20) are particularly vulnerable to beginning a cycle of unhealthy alcohol misuse. This virtual training has been prepared by Luther College nursing students. Key points to be shared are: local\, state\, and national statistics\, the physiological impact on young people\, ways to prevent misuse\, how to help a friend\, and resources. This training will be of special interest to mentors\, parents/guardians\, college students\, health professionals\, youth leaders\, family counselors\, high school counselors\, and young adults.
