SUMMARY:Fluid Art Paint Pour to help the Domestic Abuse Resource Center
DESCRIPTION:Join us upstairs of Pivo in the Blepto Studio for a relaxing evening pouring fluid paint to create abstract designs. Cost is $30 and includes all materials and instruction. Half of all proceeds will be donated to our local Domestic Abuse Resource Center. We will do a 4×4 tile and an 8×10 canvas. Please reserve your spot by stopping in the taproom\, sending a facebook message\, emailing sara@pivoblepta.com or calling 563-562-1053. Ages 14 and up are welcome. I will have aprons – but it can be messy so don’t wear your favorite clothes! These paintings will take a few days to dry – so you can pick them up the following week during our open business hours. Or you can wait a month and I’ll have them varnished and ready for you.  For more information visit https://www.facebook.com/events/488253188681653/

SUMMARY:Howard County Parent-Child Playgroup
DESCRIPTION:Families gain confidence and build supports when they visit with other families. Please consider joining this group of parents and children ages 0-5 years of age\, as we gather to strengthen our community. A family educator from Helping Services for Youth and Families will be available with resources\, and information regarding health\, safety\, development\, and nutrition. Strategies and ideas for toilet training\, discipline\, and guidance are always discussed. Older siblings in the family are always welcome as well. Feel free to contact Marcia with questions at 641-220-2239. \nWe have changed times\, days\, and locations!  Our gracious host\, the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cresco has agreed to provide a space for us on Mondays\, starting March 25\, 2019 through the week before Memorial Day\, minus April 29.  The space is inviting\, comfortable\, and appropriate for child’s play\, and adult conversation.   Bring a friend\, and plan to make some new ones!
