SUMMARY:Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) in Lansing
DESCRIPTION:A Training for Intervention Procedures or TIPS\, is a skills-based certification training offered to any local businesses that sell or serve alcohol\, and any volunteer organizations or groups that may be selling or serving alcohol.  \nTIPS is the global leader in education and training for the responsible service\, sale\, and consumption of alcohol. Proven effective\, TIPS is designed to prevent over-intoxication\, underage drinking\, and drunk driving. The training helps sellers/servers to become more confident and creates a safer work environment and a safer community. TIPS also helps local businesses\, and other liquor license holders\, by reducing their exposure to alcohol liability lawsuits.  \nThe training will take place in the upstairs at the Lansing Public Library\, located at 515 Main St.\, in Lansing. This training is able to be provided at no cost to local businesses\, and other groups who may be selling or serving alcohol\, but registration is necessary.
