DESCRIPTION:Prescription drugs are prescribed by a doctor and picked up at a pharmacy. These drugs are helpful when used the correct way. Some of the prescription drugs are a hit on the streets\, abused once prescribed\, or searched for on websites selling fake drugs.  \nPlease join this important training being led by the Delaware County Mentoring Coordinator\, Sam Jennerjohn. The training is being held via Zoom over the lunch hour and will inform participants about some types of prescription drugs\, warning signs\, and how we can help. Sam shares\, “Remember we are all in this thing called life together\, so let’s learn\, and help one another.”  \nMentors\, parents\, grandparents\, college students\, youth advocates\, and others who support youth are encouraged to attend. SUMMARY:Paint Pour for the Domestic Abuse Resource Center
DESCRIPTION:Join Blepta Studios in Calmar upstairs in the studio for a relaxing evening pouring fluid paint to create abstract designs. Cost is $30 and includes all materials and instruction. Half of all proceeds will be donated to the Domestic Abuse Resource Center. We will do a 4×4 tile and an 8×10 canvas. Aprons will be provided – but it can be messy so don’t wear your favorite clothes! These paintings will take a few days to dry – so you can pick them up the following week during open business hours. DESCRIPTION:Mentors\, mentees\, Mentors For A Day\, and waiting youth are invited to travel to EWALU to do archery\, low-ropes challenges\, ziplining\, eat lunch together\, and have fun! \nAttendees can travel to the site on their own or travel together via a Townline Bus. Bus riders must be at Helping Services’ office at 9:15 a.m. to depart at 9:30. Those meeting others at the site\, should be there at 10:45 a.m. The day will be full of fun\, rain or shine!  Time at EWALU will be 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
