The TCLC enhances students’ education and provides homework help. It gives youth the opportunity to connect with community organizations and individuals who visit and share about a variety of topics. At TCLC, students can complete their homework, get help with a tough subject, attend group meetings like Scouts, play games, make friends, learn new skills, and visit local points of interest.

We focus on math and literacy in a fun environment, which allows movement and physical literacy as a part of learning. The TCLC works to engage community, parents, teachers, organizations, and students to provide far-reaching support for learning. TCLC before- and after- school programs are offered at the West Union Elementary. This opportunity is made available through a partnership between Helping Services for Northeast Iowa, North Fayette Valley Schools, and the North Fayette Valley Community Coalition. [/accordian_item][accordian_item accordion_active=”no” accordion_title=”Why the TCLC?” icon=”Choose Icon”] Families are busy: Scout meetings, doctor appointments, ball practices, church classes, homework… With many parents working, it is hard to guess how we fit all of it into our day. Schools and community organizations want to provide a quality education and supportive environment for students and families. Students want to learn and try new things. But with busy schedules and deadlines it is often difficult to align these goals. This is where the TCLC will help.
