A private, non-profit agency serving Northeast Iowa. We support the community and work together to create an environment that is safe, nurturing, and a healthy place for children and adults to live.

Our Mission
Our mission is to support and promote the health of children and adults living in Northeast Iowa. We focus our resources in the areas of substance abuse, domestic violence, and sexual abuse. We reach out to individuals, families, and communities through prevention, intervention support, and advocacy.

The individuals, families, and communities of Northeast Iowa who are affected by difficult issues in society today such as substance abuse, domestic violence or sexual assault.

Prevention of Substance Abuse
Giving youth, families and the community the tools needed to eliminate the damaging effects of substances including alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

• Offering programs for youth delivered in schools.
• Leading parenting and family skills discussions that decrease family stress, and increase problem solving, coping skills and stress management.
• Helping you learn how to improve family life and create a healthy environment.

Domestic & Sexual Abuse Resource Center
Domestic Abuse
Is a pattern of behaviors intended to control a spouse, relative or partner. Abuse can be: physical, sexual, verbal, emotional, economic. This pattern of behavior is reinforced by the threat or actual occurrence of violence.

Sexual Abuse
Includes date rape, marital rape, incest, and child molestation. Sexual abuse can alter the life of a victim forever.

We provide a 24-Hour Crisis Line(1.800.383.2988), Safe Homes, Adult & Child Advocacy, Education about abusive relationships.

Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention
Providing information and education for the prevention of teenage pregnancy.

• Delivering teen pregnancy prevention programs that teach healthy decision-making around sexuality.
• Provide an opportunity to experience teen parenting with a life-like baby.
• Educate with programs that focus on helping young people build healthy relationships based on trust, respect, and honesty.

Mentoring
A program that strives to connect youth with a caring adult who can help them aspire, achieve, and develop to their fullest potential.

• Inspiring hope by matching youth with an adult they can spend time with.
• Establishing satisfying relationships for both the mentor and youth.
