I work with a team of people devoted to promoting positive parent-child interaction, to providing families with educational tools and support for the challenges of parenting, to increasing family awareness of community resources, and to promoting community collaboration—all which help prevent child abuse and ensure safe, stable and healthy families.
I prepare the monthly financials and ensure compliance with our various grant requirements. I also help with various administrative duties, including facilitation of employee benefits and preparation of annual audit needs.
I oversee budget and personnel needs at Helping Services and work with the Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers to implement tangible, impactful services for families and children in Northeast Iowa.
I greet the public on the phone and in person, connecting visitors with the services they need. I assist program staff with community projects and administrative staff with daily accounting tasks. I help with the coordinating of our annual Holiday Lights display event, in addition to keeping our office running smoothly.
I oversee the technology needs for the agency, from equipment to software, online tools and platforms. Staff rely on me to trouble-shoot issues, provide training, and make wise investments into technology purchases that help them communicate to the public.
