Mentoring Bowl-a-thon Raises Big Money

The fourth Mentoring Bowl-a-thon occurred on Sunday, March 29th at Oneota Lanes in Decorah.  54 bowlers brought in donations after talking with many area folks about the mentoring programs.  A total of $ 2,978.14 was made at this event.  Many businesses were Lane Sponsors who donated funding to the event.  Those businesses are listed below.  Oneota Lanes was a generous donor giving us a HUGE discount for bowling.  Oneota Lanes also donated a bowling ball, family packages for bowling, and trophies for second place winners.  They value of their donations was around $800.  The team bringing in the largest amount of donations were the "Flying Eagles".  This team raised $1,304 for our programs.  The Flying Eagles consisted of Dan Krambeer, Jay McGee, Cody & Cole Mincks.  They won Helping Services' bags filled with gift certificates and other goodies from area businesses.  The team bringing in the second highest dollar amount was "The Bowling Stones".  They gathered $284 of donations and won trophies donated by Oneota Lanes.  Team members are:  Vicky Jaeger, Rylee Upton, Alison Schwartzhoff, and Crystal Mensen.  Many area businesses offered door prizes for the bowlers to enjoy.  Those businesses are listed below.  We really appreciate everyone's support whether you bowled, donated to a team, cheered on at the sidelines, or donated some type of gift, your generosity is greatly appreciated.
