Resource Center Needs

Our clients are often in volatile relationships. Taking the steps to leave an abusive relationship can be hindered often times by financial situations. Helping Services plays an important role in helping clients break the cycle of violence by providing a means to becoming independent. We rely on donations from the public to do just that. A small donation can translate into a meaningful experience in someone's life - a time of knowing that others care and they are not alone.

For the Resource Center:

  • diapers
  • laundry soap
  • cleaning and paper products

  • gas cards
  • grocery cards
  • pharmacy certificates
  • used cell phones (recycled for 911 calls)
  • a gift of money advocates will use to purchase needed items

For Transitional Housing:

Remembering troubled families during the holidays...

During the holidays, the public has a chance to sponsor a client and/or family. Helping Services provides general ideas about the ages and interests of the family, while they remain anonymous. You and your family can have the fun and rewarding experience of holiday shopping for your sponsored family. Advocates deliver the special gifts to your grateful family.
