Town Hall Meetings
Town Hall Meetings on the topic of underage drinking and binge drinking will be conducted in Allamakee, Fayette, Howard and Winneshiek Counties. These events allow community members to openly share their concerns regarding underage drinking and create new ways to decrease alcohol use amongst our youth. Please come and join us in discussing this very important topic. Participants will learn about and have the opportunity to discuss Iowa alcohol laws, risky behaviors associated with alcohol, how alcohol use can impact car insurance, the pros and cons of social networking sites and the importance of leading a substance free lifestyle.
The purpose of these events are to stimulate long-lasting conversations on the topic of underage drinking and binge drinking. The overall goal of the event is to decrease underage drinking and binge drinking rates in Northeast Iowa. To hear more about upcoming Town Hall Meetings in your area or how you can be involved please contact Katie Bee at Helping Services for Northeast Iowa at (563) 387-1720.
