Alcohol Diversion Classes

Diversion is for teens under 18 who have been arrested for possession, consumption, and/or intoxication of alcohol or who have been referred by school authorities for an alcohol-related incident.

The Diversion program is an alternative to court for teens who have violated laws or school rules related to alcohol usage. Attendance and participation in the Diversion program will clear the juvenile’s legal record of the offense.  Diversion is a one-time opportunity. Additional violations will result in more severe consequences. Currently, the program is offered only in Dubuque and Delaware Counties.
